Our receivers are not made from standard 7075 aluminum, not forged, and not extruded. They are solid billet, cut from a single block of aluminum.  Due to improvements in available materials and processes, there are now superior alloys - specifically 6061 aircraft grade aluminum.  6061 has better elasticity than 7075 and is less likely to fragment.
